The Celtics discuss with the Nets the transfer of Kevin Durant!

Three weeks after announcing his wishes to leave, Kevin Durant is still in Brooklyn, and the leads that led him to Phoenix or Miami have stalled. On the other hand, ESPN reveals that a third track is activated, and it leads to… Boston! NBA finalists, the Celtics have already successfully recruited Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari, but our colleagues report that discussions are underway.

Nothing imminent, but the prospect of including Jaylen Brown in the trade could seriously give the Nets pause. ESPN even speaks of regular contact between the two formations.

But the mere arrival of Jaylen Brown will not be enough to make the Nets give in since the leaders are mainly looking for the first rounds of the Draft, and the Celtics could offer three first rounds of the Draft (2025, 2027 and 2029), as well as the possibility of swap two more in 2024 and 2026. Such an offer would be hard to refuse.

As for Jaylen Brown, he is close to Kyrie Irving, and perhaps his arrival could help ease tensions between the All-Star leader and his leaders…

Unless it’s mostly a rumor launched by Brooklyn to force Miami and Phoenix to let go.
