To play the Euro at home, Germany summons 4 NBA players

The German Federation has revealed the preselection of the men’s national team for EuroBasket 2022 which will largely take place in Germany. There are four NBA players in particular.

Germany will play EuroBasket 2022 at home. First in Cologne for the first round, the selection of the former Élan Béarnais coach Gordon Herbert will then play – in the event of qualification – the final stages in Berlin. To achieve a good run at home, the Germans have plenty to do with four NBA players in particular: Dennis Schroder, Daniel Theis and the Wagner brothers, who embody the future of national basketball. Added to this are several strong European players (Johannes Voigtmann, Maodo Lo, Niels Giffey, etc.) and many players from the German championship. The main thing will be to set up a real collective. What seriously annoy the France team, its first opponent at the Euro, after their two qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup.

The German pre-selection for EuroBasket 2022:

Robin Benzing (Fortitudo Bologna)
Niels Giffey
Justus Hollatz (Rio Breogan)
David Kramer (Basketball Lowen Braunschweig)
Leon Kratzer (Telekom Baskets Bonn)
Maodo Lo (Alba Berlin)
Andreas Obst (FC Bayern Munich)
Kenneth Ogbe (EWE Baskets Oldenburg)
Dennis Schroder
Christian SengfelderBrose Bamberg
Daniel Theis (Indiana Pacers)
