Ms.Marvel is a series that arrived like a small wind of freshness in the heaviness of the mcu current. The multiverse explodes, and it is no longer the Earth that is in danger, but all the universes. And yet, we find a young teenager from New Jersey whose origins are… a little troubled and it’s nice to see.
Ms.Marvel : an ending that turns everything upside down
In just six episodes, Ms.Marvel gave us several clues about the MCU’s sequel. Even if the series is relatively independent, it presents some ideas allowing to situate it in time. Already, it happens after Avengers: Endgamesince Kamala Khan is a fan of Captain Marvel. But the sixth episode also clarified something amazing. Bruno, Kamala Khan’s best friend and aspiring engineer remarked to her that the powers she possesses are not hereditary as the series made us believe from the beginning, showing the emotional bond between the heroine and her grandmother Aisha, but they actually come from a “mutation”. This is the first time in the MCU where the word “mutation” is spoken. To drive the point home a bit more and make sure everyone understands: the series even had the nerve to add the musical theme of the animated series of the X-Men.
This completely confused Marvel fans, because this is a drastic change in the origins of Kamala Khan’s character. Until now, it was unknown whether or not the X-Men were present in the Earth-616 universe. She’s not the first mutant seen in the MCU, far from it, but whether it’s Quicksilver in Wanda Vision or Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange 2, each hailed from the Multiverse. Also, in the comics, Kamala Khan was more like another group of individuals called the Inhumans who have already had their ABC series. It’s likely that in order not to confuse different types of humans that exist, they were removed from the MCU, but with the release of Secret Invasion, fans have reason to doubt the real origins of Kamala Khan. In the cinema, the first mutant to be officially an important character should therefore be Namor, in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Whatever, on Twitter, this change in the origins of the character of Miss Marvel has caused a lot of debate, questions and anger.

Well it’s going to spoil but in the MCU I imagine that Feige saw his hatred of inhumans will make it simple, Ms Marvel mutant will discover that his race lives on an isolated island Krakoa blabla who escaped from the civilized world to avoid being hated (#Attilan) blah I hope I’m wrong

Wanda was retcon non-mutant the same year if not some 4 months after the release of Avengers 2
You think that #MsMarvel gonna be retcon you know what by how long in the comics? ud83dude2dud83dude2d pic.twitter.com/OBncYw6DDl
#7
then can it be both? mutant and inhuman? the exception not the retcon but during the cocoon, it activated her inhuman side but as she suffered a stress or other when the terrigen arrived, she had activated her mutant powers before

marvel comics fans when they think the inhumans will be introduced thanks to ms marvel but kevin feige gets in the way every time pic.twitter.com/K1xvzAAScm

It has no interest in changing the origins of Miss Marvel, for me they have always been there to explain her powers. She was never really involved with the Inhuman family and given the mutant situation it would be weird to try and include her now.

Tomorrow it will be 22 years since this film was released in the United States. And right the day before, the Ms Marvel series regales us with what you know. Life is good anyway ud83dude0d #MsMarvel #xmen #mutation #missmarvel pic.twitter.com/d6lFDisP91

That’s too easy to make batman an alien at worst, right?
#14
It can tease a mutation of humans created by the Kree to give the inhumans. So you could say it can predict the X-men and the Inhumans. Also, Blackbolt was introduced as Inhuman in DS2, so we can be confident she won’t be a mutant.
#15
The mcu’s first mutant is not a mutant in the mdrrrr comics. Really what a shitty irony #MissMarvel
#16
Bah jsp me but how is the MCU 100% comic accurate? No and frankly until then it doesn’t bother you and it doesn’t prevent you from taking it all in the face
#17
The Inhumans were just Marvel wanting to compete with the X-Men. But since they now have the rights, you might as well keep only the most famous name.
#18
I’m not sure what I’m saying, I don’t read comics but from what I read, she is supposed to be of inhuman origin and not a carrier of the mutant genome. It’s still a mutation and it could have ended like that but they put music associated with the Xmen -_-

Fans of the character are sorry not to have an accurate comic book adaptation.
New readers will understand nothing by doing series->comics because the 2 versions are radically different.
#20
After hard hard to deal with the origins of MM without starting with Inhumanity. The redefinition of the character is quite normal especially when you know the reasons that led to the context of its creation ud83eudd37ud83cudffb

WE TROLL: I’m sure.
Like Spider-Man in the comics, I just think that Kampala in her quest for identity will turn to mutants but in the end it will be a false lead before realizing that she is Inhuman. #MissMarvel https://t.co/bwgvzS9BEy
