The forces present
Author of an honorable comeback on the PSF of Lyon-La Soie in April, VENTS CONTRAIRES (5) did not confirm in the Quinté+ of June 27 at Parilly. Already winner of a Quinté+ at this same distance last October, this son of Kendargent is likely to show great progress here. Boxing companion of our favorite, POWER JACK (3) will discover the distance of the mile. If he holds out, he can also claim a good ranking, like TORPEN (13), narrowly beaten in the June 16 event. Confirmed at this level, ESSAI TRANSFORME (16) keeps its chance for a place with the regular PRINCIPE (4), recent fifth in a Quinté+ at Saint-Cloud, for its first try in a handicap. Not the happiest during his last attempt, BROUILLARD (15) will complete our choice with SAN CRISTOBAL (11), to watch for his first handicap, and HARPER (8), in view recently on this course.

The starters in detail and the opinion of the pros
1 – SIMONS KING
Inserted between Harper (8) and Memory Dream (12) on 16 June in a Class 2 at this course, this son of Kingman previously had two successes in a row, including a Quinté+. Despite its top weight, it remains to be watched.
Marian-Falk Weissmeier – Coach:
“Simons King (1) has been running very well lately on this same course. In good shape, he should still hold his game well. »
2 – CELESTIN
After six months of absence and a good comeback at Fontainebleau, this former fourth in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains (Gr1) was not unworthy for his debut in a handicap, on June 19 at Chantilly (sixth). Not to neglect.
Hans-Albert Blume – Coach:
“Célestin (2) likes soft ground. He’s good. I think he still has a good chance to defend. »
3 – POWER JACK
Penalized by 3 kilos for its success of May 24 in a Quinté+ over 1,400 meters at Saint-Cloud, this first advantage of Carmen Bocskai has just followed up with a fifth place in an event on the “toboggan” of ParisLongchamp. Extended here, he can shine, if the distance is not too long for his abilities.
The reporter’s opinion:
“Power Jack (3) has shown lately that he’s still competitive at 42.5. Following a good trip, its place is again in Quinté+. »
4 – PRINCIPLE
Esteemed at the start of his career in Germany, this son of Free Eagle was absent from the tracks in 2021. Now under the leadership of Peter Schiergen, he has just finished fifth in a Quinté+ at Saint-Cloud, for his first attempt in a disability. Confirmation awaited.
Peter Schiergen – Coach:
“Principle (4) is in good shape. If he has a favorable course and the ground is not too firm, I think he has a good chance for places. »
5 – HEADWINDS
Author of an honorable comeback on the PSF of Lyon-La Soie in April, this boxing companion of Power Jack (3) did not confirm in the Quinté+ of June 27 at Parilly. Already winner of a Quinté+ at this distance last October, it is likely to show great progress here.
The reporter’s opinion:
“Vents Contraires (5) has just finished ninth in a Quinté+ at Lyon-Parilly. He ran little this year. Before the blow, it seems difficult. »
6 – FRENCH TALE
After its good third place behind Power Jack (3) in the Quinté+ of May 24 at Saint-Cloud, we expected better from it during its last attempt in the event of June 16. Extended here by 200 meters, this good finisher will interest fans of speculative odds.
Erika Mäder – Coach:
“French Conte (6) has become lazy over 1,400 meters, so we are extending it here. He is in good condition. I hope to see him finish on arrival. »
7 – EXCITING
With the exception of his failure on May 19, this resident of David Smaga has been very consistent since the start of the season. Recent fourth in the Lamorlaye Longines Grand Handicap, it can still aim for a place.
Cristian Demuro – Jockey:
“Exciting (7) has gone ahead lately. He was attacked early on and paid it off to finish. It remained in good condition. It is looking for its Quinté+. With a good trip, it can play an interesting role at the finish. »
8 – HARPER
Model of consistency, this resident of Pascal Bary only narrowly failed for success on June 16 in a Class 2 contested on this same course. Endowed with a good string number, he will have supporters for his first try in a handicap.
Pascal Bary – Coach:
“Irreproachable, Harper (8) does all her shopping. The horse is fine. It’s his first handicap, so I don’t know if it’s taken by his weight. This race will tell us more. »
9 – NORDESTE
Winner of a Quinté+ in the PSF of Chantilly at the end of last season, this son of Holy Roman Emperor has been busy since the beginning of the year. Double winner this winter at Pau, it retains a good level of form, as evidenced by its last outing at La Teste. Speculative outsider.
The reporter’s opinion:
“Nordeste (9) remains on good outings in races with conditions. During its last participation in a Quinté+, it had not been ridiculous. Retaining it or not remains a matter of impression. »
10 – ASCOT ANGEL
Beaten by a head in the Quinté+ of April 25 at Bordeaux, this resident of Jane Soubagné again narrowly failed on May 31 in an event at Angers. On its way, it will try to do as well in the Paris region.
The reporter’s opinion:
“Ascot Angel (10) remains on two good outings at this level. It hasn’t inherited a very good string number, but if it goes well it can take up a place. »
11 – SAN CRISTOBAL
While he had not been seen since May 2021, this son of Le Havre was not unworthy for his comeback on June 16 in a Class 2 on the same course (fifth). Having undoubtedly progressed on this attempt, he deserves credit for his first try in a handicap.
The reporter’s opinion:
“San Cristobal (11) has just made a comeback race after a long absence. He had to get on it. He is a horse that showed quality last year. His place is at the finish. »
12 – MEMORY DREAM
Faced with several rivals that he finds here, this son of Motivator has just finished fourth in a Class 2 on the same course. At the start of its first handicap on our soil, it remains capable of muddying the waters in this Quinté+.
Gavin Hernon – Coach:
“Memory Dream (12) has finished well lately. He showed on this occasion that he was doing the course well. We will perhaps mount it a little more offensively this time. It does all its shopping and has worked well for this Quinté+. »
13 – TORPEN
After a good comeback at Saint-Cloud at the end of May, this son of Orpen found only Clever Candy to block his way to success in Quinté+ of 16 June on the “Toboggan” at ParisLongchamp. Despite a somewhat limited distance, he should still sell his chances dearly.
Robin Schoof – Coach:
“Torpen (13) is in the same form as in his last race. We have to see now if he will last the distance. »
ALEXIS POUCHIN – JOCKEY:
14 – HAVOC
Recent third in a claimer on the same track, this resident of Richard Chotard distinguished himself in May in the category that interests us by winning two fourth consecutive places. To monitor.
Pauline Chehboub – Manager:
“Havoc (14) has been on a good straight lately. At the request of his jockey, they put blinkers on him. It is competitive at this value without having too much margin. Everything has to go well. If this is the case, it can finish in Quinté+. »
15 – FOG
Unhappy in the Quinté+ of 16 June, this son of Dark Angel previously held two third consecutive places at this level. Endowed with a good number in the stalls, he finds here the opportunity to set the record straight.
Marie Vélon – Jockey:
“With Brouillard (15) we have been very unhappy lately. He is a horse that I really like. I think he can finish in the top three. »
16 – TRANSFORMED TEST
Even if it now has less margin since its success on 19 March in a Quinté+ at Saint-Cloud, this resident of Mikel Delzangles remains competitive at this level, as evidenced by its latest outings. Again, we will have to reckon with him.
Mikel Delzangles – Coach:
“Test Transformed (16) has just run well twice, without being very lucky. He pulled a number off but maybe that’s not so bad with him. »
