Jean-Claude had participated in the program “L’Amour est dans le pré” in 2011. Found dead by his wife on his farm, he committed suicide

Jean-Claude Joly was 56 years old. He was found hanged in the barn of his farm on the night of Friday June 24 to Saturday June 25 in the town of La Fenaye in Normandy according to “Le Courrier Cauchois”. It was his partner Maud who made the macabre discovery. They had met in the program broadcast by M6 “Love is in the meadow” in 2011 and had a daughter, Charlotte, in September 2014.

Jean-Claude had quickly become an emblematic candidate of the show thanks to his outspokenness and his humor. His image was damaged in 2016, after being sentenced by the Le Havre criminal court for violence against his partner Maud. Already the mother of three children, she had joined Jean-Claude on his farm. The couple’s engagement was even broadcast by M6 cameras in 2012. The farmer returned for the show’s tenth anniversary in 2016.

Many Internet users have expressed their pain on social networks. The presenter of “Love is in the meadow” Karine Le Marchand paid tribute to him on Instagram by showing deep emotion: “My Jean-Claude, words fail me, but not my tears. »
