Nightmare in the kitchen: exhausted, a candidate files a complaint two years after participating in the show

Tuesday June 21, 2022, Mélanie, ex-candidate of Nightmare in the kitchen, on M6, gave an interview to Télé-Loisirs. Harassed following reruns of the show, the young woman filed a complaint.

It was two years ago ! In June 2020, Philippe Etchebest came to the aid of three sisters, Mélanie, Mylène and Séverine, in Sénasin the show Kitchen nightmare, on M6. In an interview given to Tele-Leisure, Mélanie gave their news and assured that the rebroadcast of their show, in February and October 2021 then in April 2022, earned them many criticisms. While filing the complaint, the young woman said: “There are still jealous people who leave us bad reviews on Google or TripAdvisorsaying that it’s inedible, disgusting, and that we should be ashamed of having made Cauchemar in the kitchen, when they never came to eat there…

On social networks, the three sisters are criticized for their physique each time the show passes. “These are fake accounts. We notice it by clicking on the profile, often there is only one subscriber… But we got used to it“, Mélanie said before explaining in more detail: “We were attacked directly on our physique, we were told that we could jump off a bridge, do cosmetic surgery… It was very, very far. Of course, we lodged a complaint with the police. But we knew it would be dismissed and it is. Now, we live with it, it no longer affects us.

Did the passage of Philippe Etchebest help the three sisters?

If Mélanie appreciated the advice of the famous chef, she would not have changed much since her visit to his restaurant. She assured:The only thing we’ve changed at home is that we put on an apron and a jacket. Otherwise, nothing has changed in the kitchen. There are customers who manage to say that it is better than before because the chef has passed. But we haven’t changed anything! Like what, it is above all psychological!“However, Philippe Etchebest helped Mélanie, Mylène and Séverine to communicate better.”When the chef spoke to all 3 of us on the show, it lasted ten minutes when in reality it was for two hours. We had received a message from our mom asking us to stop tearing ourselves apart. Inevitably, these are striking words that shock us, that we keep in mind and that push us to change.“, she confided.
