This Wednesday, Olympique Lyonnais announced several changes in its staff. Ludovic Giuly returns to the club as assistant coach in charge of forwards. Arrived last summer, Hendrie Krüzen is no longer in Peter Bosz’s team.
Olympique Lyonnais now wants to rely on a more Rhone DNA, and this is also noticeable in the technical supervision. This Wednesday, OL formalized the return of Ludovic Giuly. He will have the role of assistant in charge of the attackers. The former Barcelonan returns to his training club, where he played from 1994 to 1998. The former French international signed a 2-year contract and will be back with the staff of peter bosz 2nd of July.
Giuly commented on this appointment on the OL website. “I am very honored to come back here to Lyon. It is a strong gesture from the club to have thought of me and to give me this responsibility. I will try to keep my identity, working hard, respecting the values of the club, but always in a good mood, he asserted. I was looking forward to getting back on the pitch but I’m also here to learn.”
Cheyrou closer to the group
He replaces Hendrie Kruzen, which leaves the Rhone to find the formation of Heracles Almelo. The Dutchman arrived last summer with Bosz. As we indicated, Bruno Cheyrou sees him acquire a role closer to the professional group. The technical adviser and director of the recruitment cell will be the link between the coach and the players.
