A prolific scorer in the Turkish second division, Matt Morgan should be the next leader of Le Mans Sarthe Basket.
In search of a combo-guard (leader/back) to support Kaza Kajami-Keane and Marcus Gomis, Le Mans Sarthe Basket has targeted Matt Morgan (1.93 m, 24 years old) according to our information. The native of Concord (North Carolina) should respond favorably to the MSB offer and thus discover the Betclic ELITE at the start of the next school year.
Turkish Second Division Finals MVP
A former Cornell University player from 2015 to 2019, Matt Morgan launched his career with the Toronto Raptors organization. In addition to his experiences in the Summer League, he has mainly evolved with the G-League affiliated franchise, the Raptors 905. After two seasons there, he embarked on a new adventure last summer by joining the Turkish formation of Konyaspor . In the second division, he enjoyed his rookie season, turning 21.6 points on 53.4% shooting success (including 42% from 3-pointers), 4.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 33 minutes. Above all, his team has just won the playoffs and thus reaches the first division. A Turkish first division that he will not experience – at least not immediately – because he has favored a new destination. If Limoges and Strasbourg had also inquired, it is ultimately in Sarthe that he should move.

With the son of Lamont Morgan in its ranks, the MSB would already have eight players for the 2022-2023 season, Kaza Kajami-Keane, Kenny Baptiste, Valentin Chéry, Marcus Gomis, Tres Tinkle, Mathias van den Beemt, Terry Tarpey and Williams Narace being already under contract.
