For 17 years, Camilla Parker Bowles shares the life of Prince Charles, as Duchess of Cornwall. A prestigious title for the woman who has long been harassed because of her relationship with the son of Queen Elizabeth II. Whileshe will celebrate her 75th birthday on July 17she gave a rare interview to the magazine British Vogue. In this interview published on Saturday, June 18, she discussed many topics, including his relationship with the future King of England.

As heir to Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles has an extremely busy schedule. Since the Queen’s health began to decline, she regularly replace her during important events. For her part, Camilla Parker Bowles admitted that she was also very busy, and that he was sometimes hard to spend time just with her husband. “It’s not always easy, but we always try to find a time during the day when we meet. Sometimes we bump into each other just before bedtime, but we always sit together, share a cup of tea and chat about our days. We share a moment. It’s nice to reconnect when we have some time” she confided.

If Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles are often surrounded by their family and especially their grandchildren when they have free time, they also sometimes share simple pleasures together. The Duchess of Cornwall has indeed entrusted to the British Vogue that she was passing lots of time to read with her husband.

She recounted: “You know when we’re on the go, the coolest thing is when we sit down and read our books in different corners of the same room. It’s very relaxing because you know you don’t have to make small talk. You’re just sitting together“. Very simple, but very important moments in the eyes of the royal couple.
