Race Commentary

They were only four at the start of this Paul de Moussac Longines Prize. By imposing, YEREVAN (pictured) remains undefeated in three attempts. The race was led by the favourite, TRIBALIST. YEREVAN came next with KALGANOV and IMPLEMENTATION. From the post of the last 300 meters, TRIBALIST and YEREVAN found themselves battling for victory. In a hard fight, the resident of Jean Claude Rouget dominated at the very end that ofAndre Fabre. in retreat, KALGANOV preceded IMPLEMENTATION for third place.

Words (excerpts) from Christophe Soumillon : “At the start, the idea was to ride him a little further. But he started well and as he immediately had the back of the horse of the race, tribalist, I stayed in second position. Finally, I wanted to stay as much as possible face to face with tribalist. When I asked him for the effort, like all good horses, he responded well. It may be better than Vadeni (winner of 5 lengths of the Prix du Jockey Club). I’m happy for the family Aga-Khan. He has real stallion papers.”
