The model caused a sensation on the red carpet of the Cannes festival with a makeover as dark as it is elegant.
Each year, Bella Hadid makes a remarkable appearance on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. For this 75th edition, the model lived up to her reputation. At the film premiere The Innocent by Louis Garrel, the supermodel opted for a total black look from head to toe, sporting an ebony dress signed Versace and an equally dark makeover.
Her make-up and her hairstyle only accentuated this allure with the false airs of the black swan embodied by Natalie Portman in the film black swan. Her jet-black hair was pulled back into a ballerina bun, flattened at the roots and braided along the lengths. To play down the cut, celebrity hairstylist Evanie Frausto (to whom we owe this hair creation) released a strand at the front of Bella Hadid’s face that deliberately floats above her forehead.

Bewitching eye make-up
The most impressive detail of her look was undoubtedly at the level of the eyes, highlighted by her hairstyle which completely clears her face. New York makeup artist Nadia Tayeh created a graphic, intensely black “cat eye,” over terracotta-toned eyeshadow that extends to the brow bone. The line of eyeliner that surrounds each eye stretches far out to the outer corner, blending with a perfectly drawn black blush gradient at the tip.
The rest of her makeup – complexion and lips – was relatively “bare”, to leave the spotlight to her eyes.
