On January 19, 2022, the whole world learned of the death of actor Gaspard Ulliel. As a reminder, the latter was the victim of a skiing accident which occurred on Tuesday January 18, 2022 in the La Rosière ski area, in Savoie. Hospitalized, the 30-year-old passed away a few days later. A news that not only upset the family, but also Emily Atef, the director with whom the actor had the opportunity to work. During a recent interview with the magazine Le Parisien, she confided that she had sent a message to the actor on the day of his death.

It was the family of the deceased who announced the news in a press release. According to reports, the actor was at the crossroads of two blue runs when he crashed. Gaspard was unconscious.
Help arrived and he was quickly transported to the Grenoble University Hospital. The day after his accident, the actor died. The causes of the accident have yet to be determined.
Anyway, at the announcement of the death of the thirty-something, many people paid tribute to him. Jean Castex also paid tribute to him via his Twitter account, saying:

He won the César for best actor in 2017
Gaspard Ulliel was revealed to the general public at the age of 19 in “Les Égarés” by André Téchiné alongside Emmanuelle Béart. Talented, his roles multiplied and his interpretation of the role of a soldier of the First World War in “A long Sunday of engagement” by Jean-Pierre Jeunet earned him the César for best male hope in 2005.
The deceased had filmed alongside big names in French cinema, such as Isabelle Huppert and Gérard Depardieu. He notably embodied the famous couturier Yves Saint-Laurent in the biopic directed by Bertrand Bonello in 2014.
The son of two stylists then won the César for best actor for his role in “Just the end of the world” by Xavier Dolan, in 2017, playing a writer reuniting with his family after twelve years of absence, to whom he came to announce his imminent death. That’s not all ! Gaspard was to be featured in the Marvel series “Moon knight” broadcast on the Disney + platform.

“I tried to do the best for the victim”
This great actor is no longer there. Doctors tried to keep him alive, but to no avail. At the microphone of RTL, doctor Arnaud Bouvet, the one who arrived on the scene very quickly, said that he did everything possible for the thirties.
“What I can tell you is that in terms of the speed of the rescue, the trackers took one to two minutes to be in the area. As soon as the condition deteriorated, I was called. I quickly went up to the central des pistes and was dropped off by snowmobile. I tried to do the best for the victim while waiting for the Samu. We medicalized the patient in pairs before his evacuation by helicopter, ”he testified.
When asked whether Gaspard Ulliel could have been saved if he had worn a helmet, the doctor was clear on this:

The last message sent to Gaspard
Months after the actor’s passing, the tributes still continue. On May 21, 2022, the team of the film “More than ever” was under the spotlight in Cannes. During the screening of the feature film in the “Un certain regard” selection, the celebrities once again said goodbye to the actor. The screening, as Voilà claimed, ended with “a standing ovation, long minutes of applause and tears.”
Emily Atef was moved as the whole room stood up. Indeed, the editing of the film was a bit difficult for her when she knew about the drama. In an interview for Le Parisien, she also confessed:
“The day Gaspard died, I left him a message telling him that there were great reactions to his character. »
According to the director, Gaspard doubted his performance. She then tried to reassure him. The principal concerned has received the message as reported by Emily.
