Friday, May 20, an incident occurred on the steps of the Cannes Film Festival. Around 6:30 p.m., on the sidelines of the screening of “Three thousand years waiting for you”, directed by George Miller, a topless woman slipped onto the red carpet. On her painted chest, a Ukrainian flag on which one could read: “Stop raping us”. “Stop raping us”, a message to denounce the rapes and sexual assaults, of which the Russian soldiers are accused, already mentioned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in mid-April. The activist, who appeared in front of the photographers screaming, was quickly intercepted and covered by security agents.

We talk about rape, surrogacy, we are used as belly on legs… We think that no one talks about women. Everyone needs to know . We show”. The young woman would be from the Paris region and 18 years old. She is attached to the SCUM, a radical feminist group, which defines itself as “the disbelievers of the phallus cult, the blasphemers of the patriarchal religion”and who claimed responsibility for the act on social networks.
